Goals and objectives:

The aim of this 90 minute workshop is to introduce the idea and educational use of podcasting. Participants will learn how to subscribe podcasts and record their own podcasts.

Description of the lesson:

The workshop has the following structure:
- Using iTunes to manage your music collection (5 min)
- Using iTunes Music Store to find and susbcribe podcasts (10 min)
- Finding and subscribing iTunes U content (5 min)
- Subscribing podcasts that are not listed in iTunes Music Store (5 min)
- Connecting external microphone to the computer (10 min)
- Recording podcasts with GarageBand (30 min)
- Exporting podcasts from GarageBand (5 min)
- Free services for publishing podcasts (10 min)
- Discussion about using podcasts in lessons (10 min)

The duration of the workshop is 90 minutes.
