Popis lekce:

Because we were talking about animals with our students, I typed animals in Search learning resources/assets and got 142 resources. I went through all of them quickly, only to find out how useful they could be, and add some to my favourites. The above mentioned I have finally used but another time I might use a different one.

The students worked with this topic at school for 2 lessons, we did some listening from our regular book and they in pairs draw a word map considering animal vocabulary.

Some of them also brought their own animal to show and talk about.

Finally, they opened the website and were to go to Verbs from animals' names where they matched the names of animals with their meaning when used as verbs. When the students had managed to do so, they had to choose three of the animal verbs and write three sentences from their lives using them in their exercise books.

In my opinion, the use of the internet exercise made the lesson more diverse and forced the students work with the animal vocabulary even broader than they would using only dictionaries and books. The new words can also be remembered better.
