Description of the lesson:

This lesson is a cross-curricular lesson for English and Geography, teaching the competence of searching information on the enternet.

For my students this was a very interesting topic, because commercials they have learnt something new about New York in an active way. The lesson is made in the form of a webqest.

At first, in previous lessons, students learn about America and New Your- that is part of the final exam topic at our school. This lesson comes at the end of this topic - to make it more real, more fun more real.

The webpage was used in way it was made. At the beginning the interest was created in the form of a trip to New York.

Then the students went through individual parts of the webquest, looked for answers and filled in the form.

After completing this WebQuest, they said they have learned some new information about New Your and consolidated the information they had already known.

My students liked the lesson, found it a lively enrichment of the quite boring "cultural" English teaching.
