The work takes place in a classroom equipped with 15 computers. It is advised to divide the students into two different groups according to their abilities without emphasizing this. · (5 min) are given for revising the following concepts: light spectrum, main and additional colours, colour triangle, colour of objects. An English dictionary of used words is supplied on the blackboard or any other type of media. · (15 min) the weaker group does practical exercises using the computer (right side of the exercise sheet) while the stronger group does theoretical tasks (left side of the exercise sheet). · (15 min) the groups change places. · (10 min) summing-up of the lesson, analysis of mistakes, explanation of uncertainties, student self evaluation. Students work with their study objects and exercise sheets http://lemill.net/content/sheet1-1/view Alternative way: if there isn’t an opportunity for the students to work using computers and there’s only one computer and projector – then the students can do the exercises independently first and afterwards, while the teacher is performing virtual experiments, check their work. |
