 სასწავლო კურსის ზოგადი აღწერა:

      უცხოური ენა როგორც ეროვნული სასწავლო გეგმის განუყოფელი ნაწილი, სასკოლო განათლების მთავარი სახელმწიფო მიზნის განხორციელებას ემსახურება-ეროვნულ და საკაცობრიო ღირებულებებთან ნაზიარები, თავისუფალი პიროვნების აღზრდას, რომელიც შეძლებს თავისი წვლილის შეტანას სამოქალაქო საზოგადოების ჩამოყალიბებასა და განვითარებაში.

              სასწავლო საგნის სტატუსი მოცემულ კლასებში:

II-III-VII-IX-X-XI კლასებში ინგლისური ენის სასწავლო კურსი ეროვნული სასწავლო გეგმით გათვალისწინებული სავალდებულო საგანია.

              საგნის მიზნები:

     მოსწავლეს მივცეთ ისეთი განათლება, რომ მან შეძლოს უცხო ენაზე მეტყველება; წარმატებული კომუნიკაცია სხვა კულტურის წარმომადგენლებთან; განსხვავებული კულტურული კონტექსტების და ტექსტების გაგება; ნებისმიერი ენობრივ-კულტურული თვითმყოფადობის დაფასება და პატივისცემა; ცოდნის დამოუკიდებლად გაღრმავება და გამდიდრება ენობრივი თუ კულტურული თვალსაზრისით.

                  განსავითარებელი უნარ-ჩვევები:

        მოსმენა, ლაპარაკი, კითხვა, წერა.

               გაკვეთილის ჩატარების მეთოდები:
